just squeeze them really hard, they will come out. Your face will get red and splotchy so dont do it before going out anywhere.

Same with all those astringents that they would sell you: alcohol is alcohol; salycillic acid is salycillic acid. That's how they make their money, so don't be ripped off. If you DO go to your doctor, ask him which INGREDIENTS you should look for, and then buy those ingredients in a drug-store brand of cream/wash/astringent.

Dove soap is best for skin cleansing and makeup removal. toners are temporary and can be drying, wash hands, if you clear up the other acne problems, most likely, the pores will appear to shrink up and have overall better skin tone. avoid liquid makeups, brewing ground for bacteria as soon as you open them. wash hands, avoid picking, being a teenager is part of acne, some are luckier than others. I wasn't, but stayed ahead of the game with oral antibiotics, retin, which i still use after 20 yrs. I remember when it was a liquid form. i would suggest washing your face about three times a day and let it dry on its own, don't use a towel. Blackheads are related to oil underneath the skin. Perhaps a visit to a dermatologist might help but it might not be something beyond personal hygiene. You're the best judge for yourself.

This may sound real dumb, But an old girl friend had this problem when she was a teen. she solved it by washing her face with hot water to open up her pores, then cold water to close them. she did this 3-4 times a day for about a month and man it worked so well that I believe that nothing is better then hot/cold water. Wash hot water on your face no soap 3 times a session, then cold water 3 times as well. then blot dry . Good luck I am very sure it will work better then any medicated pad.

This may sound real dumb, But an old girl friend had this problem when she was a teen. she solved it by washing her face with hot water to open up her pores, then cold water to close them. she did this 3-4 times a day for about a month and man it worked so well that I believe that nothing is better then hot/cold water. My daily skincare routine is wash (with a warming scrub, the C%26amp;C BCS, and another product to finish), then use toner (I use Olay Refreshing Toner) to remove all other traces of makeup, dirt and soap scum, and finish with a salicylic acid moisturizer that doesn't dry out my skin (I like Clean%26amp;Clear's Daily Moisturizer with salicylic acid). Another trick to get your skin really clean is to start by splashing your face with warm water to open pores, and when you're done, splash cold water on your face to close your pores.
Plus, a good spot treatment is gold when it comes to fighting acne. I use Clearasil Acne Treatment Cream- it works pretty quickly to reduce redness, although it takes longer to actually clear the acne.
For blackheads, here is a good facial:
1) Wash your face with a salicylic acid cleanser.
2) Steam face for five minutes to open pores. (Just boil some water and put it in a pot or a bowl. To create steam, simply blow on the hot water!)
3) Exfoliate your face with a good scrub (again, I use C%26amp;C BCS)
4) Moisturize with an oil-free face lotion.
You can do the same for zits and whiteheads, just add in a clay mask after exfoliating.

I finally broke down and bought my daughter Proactive 3 weeks ago, it runs about $20 a month. Her acne is chronic which she inherited from her dad, and she started getting it at 9 y/o. So far I see a big difference, I can also get my $$ back if it doesn't work. It is worth it to me for her to have healthy skin, plus having acne just sucks bad. I have heard you have to use it religiously 2x everyday, and she does. She did get some drying at first, but not anymore. She has tried those knock-offs from the drug store, and had no results. You should at least try it, if it doesn't work they will give you a refund.

Another thing is a device called Zeno Acne Clearing device which is supposed to clear up a pimple in 24-48 hours, but this item is a little pricey.
Personally, I use Differin gel for my acne, and it does a good job. Years ago, I used to have much worse acne and the only thing that worked for me back then was Accutane.
Anyway, hope this helps...
(Oh, and BTW, I don't like Cetaphil lotion. If your skin is prone to breakouts, you will probably have to be extremely selective in facial moisturizers.)

The cheapest thing you can do (it's completely free!) is to boil a kettle and pour the boilng water into a large bowl. When the water is still hot but the steam is cool, put a tea towel over your head and hold your head over the steam - cleans out your pores brilliantly!

I have been putting in my moisturizer for almost 2-months and I can't tell you how much it has improved the appearance of my pores and my blackheads are gone.
Do you use the acne 3-step? Blackheads are considered a form of acne. If not, you could incorporate the clarifying lotion for acne and stick with your regular cleanser, or switch the soaps. I've tried several products and nothing works. I used to use the Biore strips because they were the best, but the company changed them so that now they don't work on my skin (but hurt worse than the old formula). I have somewhat dry skin, but not bad enough that I have to moisturize all the time, if that helps. I'm not looking for something meant for younger teenagers with acne and oily skin, since I'm an adult with no acne and normal to dry skin. Blackheads are cause by oils and dirt stuck in a pore. here is a effective remedy
Mix ground orange peel with a bit of water to make a paste. Don't add so much water to make the mixture a liquid; just enough to remain in paste form. Apply the paste to the affected areas and leave on overnight.
Use tea tree oil. You can find it at Walmart in the vitamin section or order online. Seriously dilute it though.. like wet a cotton ball and put 1 Drop on it and apply to your face. It can be drying so you may need to use a mosturizer. It will feel tingly. It helps with acne and clogged pores. Tea tree oil gets rid of bacteria. It smells very strong! Use a Neutrogena grape fruit face wash too, it smells nice and works really good. The scrubs help get rid of blackheads if you use them consistantly.

I've actually never heard of toothpaste on a pimple....only on a burn! What one of my friends went to her pharmacy and asked what to use with blackheads/pimples ect.

Facial pores appear smaller, when the skin is not oily. This is what helps me to get an overall smoother and softer skin:
1.Stop using All skincare products ( cleansers, moisturizers, toners, creams, etc.)
2. Before I use regular tap water to rinse my face with I use Evian ( it is that bottled spring water). I pour some on the palm of my hand and just sort of smear it all over my face. Or you could pour some on a cotton pad and gently ( without rubbing) smoothe it over your face to lift off some of the oil. I follow that by rinsing my face with regular tap water. Evian actually helps to cleanse the skin which I could never get by using tap water only.

Facial pores appear smaller, when the skin is not oily. This is what helps me to get an overall smoother and softer skin:
1.Stop using All skincare products ( cleansers, moisturizers, toners, creams, etc.)
2. Before I use regular tap water to rinse my face with I use Evian ( it is that bottled spring water). I pour some on the palm of my hand and just sort of smear it all over my face. Or you could pour some on a cotton pad and gently ( without rubbing) smoothe it over your face to lift off some of the oil. I follow that by rinsing my face with regular tap water. Evian actually helps to cleanse the skin which I could never get by using tap water only.

Use the facial scrub faithfully, soak your face with the vita c serum, take one of these razor pens (walgreens) used to shape eyebrows, and lightly scrape your face. You are actually exfoliating. Everytime you go over use a cotton square and clean the razor pen, (you will be surprised to see what you are taking off the top layer of your skin.) Use an over the counter product that contains benzol peroxide or salicylic acid, like oxy or clearasil. Put it on the blackhead at night before you go to sleep or while you're at home and don't plan to go anywhere (since it usually shows up white which isn't very cute) or buy the clear kind. You have to be really careful when you try to pop them because its really easy to scar your skin. It's really bad to use a needle because you can get a really bad infection. Or you know what...they might be freckles and not blackheads! You can't get rid of those except with laser surgery.
I would go see a dermatologist. You aren't supposed to sqeeze them because it causes for bacteria to enter your skin and cause more breakage.
place a warm wash cloth on you nose. then pop them(it is easier this way) -i normally wouldnt say pop them but it works. and then make sure you cleanse, TONE, and moisturize.

I used to have that problem!! But i found out a way to fix this. First, take a bowl that can stand heat. Pour boiling water in it and then put it on a table and sit in front of it. Put your head over the bowl and face the water so your looking over it. Keep your head there and then after 10 mins you can easily remove them!

i think that blackheads form from collected dirt within your pours, and whiteheads are caused from 'stress' and oils. in my opinion, a blackhead is worse, because a whitehead you can usually pop, but it is very hard to get rid of a blackhead, because they are kind of underneath, while whiteheads are on top of the surface of your skin.
i personally think that blackheads are worse for me because i dont have bad acne or breakouts, but i have blackheads all over my nose that i cant get rid of.
i do get breakouts of whiteheads around my period, which are usually painful waterzits, or large whiteheads that tend to bleed.

Blackheads what is the best cream to use ?
I need help in getting rid of these nasty blackheads all over my

to stop blackheads in there tracks:
be sure to clean your face after wearing makeup and before going to bed.
Keep your hair of your face as alot of dust and dirt can come of your hair and make your pores fill with dirt.
if you work in the city - carry moist wipes that are alcohol free and be sure to wipe your face, nose and forehead when near a mirror to stop oil patches forming and blackhead ';farms'; (eewww) expanding.
Benzoil peroxide can be dangeously inflamming to the skin and should be used in the smallest dosages.
Try baking soda mixed with water to make a paste then leave it on your skin till dry (about 5 min.)
P.S. Also helps acne!
