Use a cleanser and a toner that contains salicylic acid every morning and night. If the skin-clearing solution doesn't work, ask your dermatologist to prescribe differin. It really works! Exfoliating will also clean your skin but it will not banish the blackheads. And remember to drink lots of water!

All of the suggestions are good, but another method is to wet a washcloth with the hottest tap water you can stand without burning yourself and put it on the area with the blackheads. That will open up the pores so that the accumulated debris can be gently removed. Follow up with cold water to close the pores back up. Do that every day and you will see an improvement.
I went to my derm and now I take vitamin b pills twice a day. I use duac topical gel in the morning and tazorac at night. This works for me but you need a prescription. Proactive never worked for me, but i heard you need to use it everyday and you can never skip or your screwed like Paris Hilton's new song.
